A/B testing, (also known as split testing), is a marketing method which tests two variables against one another to identify the variable that results in the higher conversion rate.
Generally speaking, an A/B test includes a “control” (where no changes are made) vs the “variable” (where one element is different to that of the control). After testing the 2 against each other for a considerable duration of time, the element that is argued to give a better result is called “treatment.”
A/B tests are a great, simple way to continue fine-tuning your website or online campaign for increased conversions. Even just a simple change or 2 to landing page, contact form, choice of words or colour of a button can make a significant impact on your marketing results.
